In Reading class, the sixth-grade students have been learning and exploring Mexican culture and traditions through the selection «Dancing Kane». This story reflects the arduous task of a Mexican American family to pass on their Mexican heritage to their children through dance, food, and language. In a joint Project with Social Studies, Writing, Comunicación, and Reading, the students explored countries all around the world, learning about their food, tourist attractions, famous author’s, traditional clothes and dance. It was truly an enriching experience for all students to learn and get a taste of what the world has to offer!
